Title: Summer Beginnings and Endings: Hibari
Character/s: Hibari Kyoya and Chrome Dokuro
Genre: Hurt/Comfort/AU
Summary: Hibari Kyoya's response to Dokuro Chrome's online confession. Must read "Summer Beginnings and Endings: Chrome" first before reading this. AU.
Author's Notes: Okay. Like I've said before in my replies to those people who reviewed, this chapter is based on 'Hibari's reaction to the previous story. Fortunately, 'Hibari' was kind enough to give a very, VERY positive reply. And with that same reason, I had a really HARD time contemplating what should be Hibari's reply.
Baahh. Just go with the flow, I guess. And this will be very short. What to expect from Hibari? XD
Anyway, this is another entry for my 16 Chrome Dokuro Fan Fiction Challenge. Don't forget to vote on the poll on my profile page. Hibari is still in the lead~ Yey! Haha. But Mukuro's in second place. Vote to change, or vote not to change!
I do not own KHR. I only own the plot.
Summer Beginnings and Endings: Hibari
la Pianissima
It has been a while since Hibari logged in into his Facebook account. A week, perhaps? He couldn't remember. There were dozens of herbivores in the net that he wants to bite to death when school returns. Many of his fellow students have violated the rules and others were simply playing safe. In short, he will be very, VERY busy in college.
Upon logging in, he saw that he has an unread message: a message from his 'friend', Chrome Dokuro.
At first, he was surprised. This girl has just confessed to him via Facebook. And he doesn't know what to reply. But after some minutes of thinking, he knows.

Chrome. I appreciate your feelings for me. It's … nice to know someone cares for me. Thank you.

Hibari pressed 'Send' and leaned back on his chair. His mind flashed images of Chrome. No, they haven't seen each other yet, but he knows her face well. He has been seeing that smiling image of that purplenette all over his News Feeds for more than a month now. He was confident enough to recognize her in a flash if ever they meet in person.
But Hibari shooed all those thoughts away. He log-out his account and shut down his computer. School is nearing, as Chrome said in her message, so it also means that his usual 'bite-people-to-death' streak will soon begin.
Chrome is just an interesting herbivore he met online, someone whom he finds gutsy for talking to him almost every day of summer break. He appreciates Chrome's feelings for him, but what does she expect him to reply? You can't force someone to feel the same way you do to them. And the peace in Namimori is much more important to Hibari. Much, much more important.
END.
Rushed ending. But HARDCORE HIBARI FANS will understand.
And I hope you do too.
Thank you for reading though =D
