Just another drabble thingy. It takes place in the episode where you meet all of England's friends- Flying Mint Bunny, Uni, etc. Hope you like it!
America was heading back to the conference room. He needed to ask England some important questions, as well as saying a few simple words- He heard a laugh.
"You guys!" England's voice rang through the hallways. But that couldn't be England, could it? He never laughed, never sounded completely happy. That wasn't America's England.
America poked his head around the corner. England was talking to thin air, playing with something only he could see.
"Stop it, Uni!" America's cheeks started turning pink. He believed that this was almost something sacred for England, but it wasn't for America.
Why couldn't he make England laugh like that? Open up like he did with that thin air? Was he not a good enough hero to make his Lois Lane smile? Apparently not. But Uni was good enough.
"Hey, England," America started, concealing the jealousy he felt inside. The United Kingdom never even turned his head. America turned on his heel and walked away.
Not good enough. Not good enough. Sure, he's been told that numerous times by England when he was little. Even when he won the war, it was considered a fluke by his "big brother". America knew better.
He was just not good enough for the expectations of England. He'd have to be a fairy or something- not a hero. But that's all America was: a hero. At least, to everyone but England, he was.
That's it! So, R and R, people! If you liked it, review! If you hated it, review! If you saw any mistakes, review! You get the idea...
