Often Lied
Chapter 1
It was a dark and stormy night and Lenalee was out and about in town. Stores were closing, all except one store in particular called Neon Pet's (Queen-Neko-Chan: I'm bad at naming things. ^_^). This was Lenalee's destination. As she walked in bright yellow, red, blue, and orange eyes looked directly at her along with the owner. He was a strange man with long red hair and a strange mask like eye patch covering his right eye. A gasp escaped her lips from all the strange eye colors and the odd owner. As he approached her he said, "Hey little missy, I'm Cross. What would you like?" "Ummm… two birthday presents for my friends." Cross looked at her. "Hmmm…ok, follow me little missy." He led her into a room in the back which held a few cages within it. She noticed a cage that had silver and green eyes shining within it. She approached it with caution in case they were frightened and might bite her or cower away from her. The eyes she had seen in the cage looked like they longed for something more. They looked like they longed for knowledge of the world, freedom, and human touch. What Lenalee didn't realize was that the shop she entered didn't sell pets as she had thought. They sold hybrids, half animal, half human. Since the hybrids were hidden in the shadows, all she saw was their eyes. "I'll take these two mister Cross." Lenalee said pointing to the two in the cage. Ok little missy, just sign here." He said as a contract appeared in midair. But Lenalee once again didn't realize it. She just signed the contract to give the two creatures to her two friends, Yuu Kanda and Tykki Mikk (Only she thinks that _). "We will deliver them in a week or two, thanks for your business, etc." Cross said. "Ok thanks mister Cross!" She said as he led her out the door. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, you better get going it's getting late, but don't be afraid to come back." He said winking at her. Lenalee walked out the door not realizing what she got her and her friends into, until two weeks later.
