Under Attack

Disclaimer: I don't own Starcraft, or anything associated with it etc. All right, let's continue!

Man, I wish I hadn't volunteered! It all started with that little trip I had to the colonies jail. I didn't murder anyone! I swear! I hated that jail! So, when the parole officer came a year later and asked for volunteers, I put my hand up. Next thing I know, I was on one of the rim colonies, a "behavioral modification" chip in my head, and I couldn't believe what I would see soon. The 5th day I was there the first attack came. They call them "Hydralisks", and there came in the hundreds. My bunker was one of the 2 that survived. All the other 50 marines died. That meant that out of 50, 8 got out! 8!! I can't believe this! Well, I only have one more week to serve, and I get out early. That's the only good thing about this deathtrap of a place. Only a week.

"You couldn't wait one more day, could you!" This was a major problem!! All of the tanks were miles away, doing training, I had one more day left, and they attack! I hate this!! I bring up my gun, and begin firing. I'm a good shot, though. Got to give me that!! I watch as a zergling gets blown apart by the shells that I launch. "Squad use stimpacks!" The sergeant bellows and I'm all too happy to follow. The stims are one of the other good things that this place has. I love the feeling of power as the drug rushes through me. I push the button and rejoice in the feeling. Let's kill something!! I fire again, and again, and again. More and more die. Even with the stim I see its hopeless now. Most my fellow marines are dead now. Without the tanks we won't last! Click "Oww **$*&*(%*(()^(%" I spout. I was out of ammo! A 'ling rushes up towards me, and I close my eyes and wait- BOOM The massive sound of a siege tank blast assaults my ears. The 'ling in front of me in blown into ow so many bloody pieces. The tanks had arrived!! Now for some action. I reload (which in the excitement I had forgotten about my spare ammo and begin firing again. Now we could win this. The siege shell tore into the enemy lines. Bloody parts were everywhere. The smell of roasted meat was in the air. All of a sudden it stopped. There was no retreat, no time, just stop.. Well, I guess I win get out of here I mused. The colony was happy to be saved, but I was just happy to have lived long enough to get out of there alive.
