The cab shuddered to a hault, slowly curving it's path so that it was almost brushing agaisnt the curb.

"That'll the ten pounds, please." The cabbie said.

"Ten pounds?" She reached into her purse and drew out an overstuffed wallet.

"Did I stutter?"

She was still strugelling with the wallet. "How much is that in Canadian Dollars? Twenty-five or so, right?"

Slowly he turned to face her and Theodora's heart sank. He tipped his hat a little bit, a harmless guesture but still an angry one. "What," He said through his teeth, "Am I supposed to do with Canadian dollars?"

Theodora cringed inwardly. "You could move to Canada."

He turned back to face the front and gripped the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles turned white. "You. Out. Now."

"What?"

"DID I STUTTER, MISS?"

Theodora struggled with her seat belt, threw open the door, and ran.
