What if Darlin was at work?
What if Darlin was there that moment?
When all the experiments went out of quirk,
Would he be there at that moment?
To save Black Mesa and all its work?
To slay the aliens and their queen,
To show them all he was mean,
To win the love of all the team,
What if Gordon had a Cat?
Would he then cast out Freeman?,
Attempt to take that badge of freedom?
The badge of hate, of malice and glory,
The permit to kill, to maim and to dispose,
Would he try to take it all?,
Would the G-Man permit to his power?,
Knowing all of his desire,
The desire to take his name so great,
Would Darlin be the next Administrate?
Would the G-man in all his power,
Still have the vote of his great Mesa,
The team so battered by his mean words,
Will this crisis be observed?
The call to power by this great cat,
The plea of forgiveness from this demured man,
The time of renewal, the promise is here, this is what they want to hear!
The time has come, the G-man must leave,
The briefcase he still held, its contents still unseen
"Give it to me, It's mine for the role"
"You will not have what I do hold!"
The G-man took pace and was out of the door,
Before the greedy cat could pounce for the door,
The Complex is safe, Freeman is silent, the career of this cat has entered its era,
The G-man in a dark room, planning his return, how long will his patience be observed?
More experiments to come, similar results to be seen, the time of clichés is yet to be reamed,
