Author Note!
I know that personally, I don't read these, so I'll keep it short! This is my first story, so I would appreciate honest reviews and comments. This story doesn't follow the plot of Maximum Ride; I'm just using it as a background for my OC because I love the series. And I promise to actually start the story next chapter, I'm just to lazy to put it in this one.-_- Enjoy!
First person
My name is Alex, my family and I have decided to tell the story of younger years to the general public, and well lets just say that I haven't what you would call a "traditional" upbringing. The first part of my life was spent in and out of The School, a lab in California's Death Valley that specializes in genetic mutation and gene splicing, along with other research. The School might sound like just another government lab, but it carries out illegal experiments on humans and animals, which infringes on the Animal Welfare Act of 1966!
" I told you that she would get geeky, let me do this!"
"No, give the friggin mike back!"
*starts fighting*
Sorry about that, I guess that he's right though, I'll try to avoid going on like that in the future, on with the story!
During that time, I was

WE where put through brutal experiments causing US to develop wings, have an abnormal brain capacity, and amazing strength.
You're probably wondering who the "we" is that I keep referring to, and who keeps INTERRUPTING ME, that would be the other 5 people that where experimented on, Fang, Gassy, Nudge, Iggy, and Angel. I would tell you our exact ages, but that might give you enough information to be able to track us down, so in general, Fang, Iggy, and I are the oldest, and Gassy, Nudge, and Angel are the young ones. I should warn you, our story will not be all glitter and sunshine, and this should be the end of the comic relief, considering that I duct taped Gassy to a chair…..you still there? Good, this is the story of how we escaped The School.
