I woke up to the feel of the spring breeze and the smell of the cosmos and the other flowers.
Today is the first day of spring, my favorite season of the year. Not just because of the cherry blossoms which start to bloom during this time, but also because this season reminds me of her. Her soft pink locks I always wanted to touch and her stunning emerald eyes which look greener than the leaves found here in the village.
I was in a reverie when a thought struck my mind, I am seeing her today. I fixed my jet black hair in front of the mirror then I ran out of the house. But of course I didn't want to look too eager to see her so as I was nearing our meeting place which was on the rooftop of Konoha hospital, I slowed down my pace especially when I realized that she was not alone.
I found her in the arms of another instead of mine. I found her leaning against him like nothing else matters In the world. I found her looking at him like he was her everything.
Maybe I was too late, or maybe we weren't meant to be. I felt like my world stopped spinning right at that instant. Suddenly, I felt a hole in my chest. Seeing her with someone else made my heart ache. So I did what I should. I called her name and then I smiled. I couldn't blame her because it was just me who thought we had a chance.
I never realized until that day that she will never be able to love me nor will she be able to give me her heart because she already gave it to him years ago before we even met. She smiled at me and somehow that was everything. "Sakura-senpai! I was sent here to inform you that the medicinal plants and the supplies you asked for have already arrived," I said as I approached her.
Her eyes twinkled with interest when she heard me. "Arigatou, Kyosuke-kun! I've been waiting for it all week," her smile literally brightened up the whole world, or my world at least. The man beside her just grunted, i'm not sure why. "Oh c'mon sasuke-kun." I forgot, I can only love her from afar because I wasn't the man she cares for. I wasn't the man she loves, I wasn't the man from her genin team, I wasn't Sasuke Uchiha, the one she fell for.
