Thud. Thud. My heart beats furiously in my chest. It's like someone is playing drums in my ears. So loudly that I'm going to be deaf. "Who are you?! Get away from me!" I tried to shout but can't. All that came out was a muffled voice. I kept struggling to break free from the grasp of the rope that is keeping me tied to the chair.

The masked man said, "Stop fidgeting. It's no use trying." Then, he turned around, and smirked. I could feel all my anger inside me, bubbling like an active volcano. I narrowed my eyes at him. He said, "Stop moving, will you? If not…" He clicked his fingers and the rope got even tighter. So tight that I can't move at all.

He said smugly, "Good. Now let's get down to business." He lifted my head to an angle where my neck was exposed without protection. I had heard rumours about him being a vampire but I refused to believe it until now. I was so scared and worried but the rope was too tight for me to do anything. With all the emotions inside me, which cannot be realised in any form of action, my eyes started to tear up and a tear fell.

It was extremely rare for anyone to see me cry because I was special. I was always trying to be a wallflower all because of my tears. They are the shade of the purest blue you have ever seen. People used to laugh at me and my tears. I was always bullied, so I trained myself to not cry. Ever. And always hid in the shadows, training to be an assassin. So when I realised I was crying, I tried to turn away but his grip held me tight.

He gasped, "You! You're the one in the legend! No! It can't be! She doesn't exist anymore!" He snapped his fingers and released me. I glared at him and asked, "What do you mean? I'm just an ordinary teenage girl!" He actually stammered, "You don't know?" "KNOW WHAT?!" I yelled at him. He looked away and said, "The legend. Or should I mean the curse…" Then, as quick as can be, he swiftly grabbed my neck and sank his teeth into it. "Say goodbye, Princess Scarlett Rose Valles!"
