Snake wasn't one for mind games. He preferred things straightforward but life had proven over and over that Snake wasn't destined to get what he wanted. That left him sitting there face to face with Hauk wondering what the man was up to. The cop was smiling and that immediately told Plissken that whatever was going on he didn't want to be any part of.

That had been sixteen years ago. Today was the same feelings and different faces. This time the president was the one trying to twist his arm. Hadn't they learned the first time around this was all a bad plan on their part? Snake sighed as they went on about whatever it was they were trying to manipulate him into doing. Couldn't they just skip the bullshit and give him the mission? Snake knew why that didn't happen. They loved to hear themselves talk. That was why they were in power.

Plissken hated this manipulating tactic more than he hated the police themselves. That was a feat and still they kept it up. Did they like pissing him off and suffering for it? The government was masochistic and self destructive. That could be the only explanation. As Plissken listened to the rather pleasant to look at female cop do the dirty work of the other two Snake knew that lazy, self-destructive tendency was on his side. The government was destroying itself and Plissken was just along to be the backseat driver.
