I do not own Inuyasha, but I do own this story.

Sango looked around her wondering how much longer she would have to be here before it would be polite to leave. She sighed realizing that she would probably have to stay for a couple more hours before she would be allowed to leave without being lectured. It wasn't that she didn't like spending time with her friends and it was Ayame's birthday party, but honestly this just wasn't her kind of thing. She would much rather be at home reading a book or surfing the web, but that was just her. The only reason she had even come was because Kagome had threatened her with bodily harm if she didn't at least make an appearance. Looking up from her position in the corner she saw Miroku walking towards her. Oh hell no, I don't care what Kagome says if he's here then I'm gone.

Standing to make her escape she felt someone grab her arm, turning she saw Kagome. "Where exactly do you think that you are going? You promised that you would be here for Ayame's birthday and everyone is really excited to see you and you are going to leave? No, I have let this go on long enough, come on we're going to go find Ayame. Maybe seeing her will convince you that you should stay and celebrate with us." Sango looked at Kagome helplessly, trying to plead with her with her eyes. "I know I said that I would come but I didn't know that I would have to sit through this party with Miroku and his flavor of the month." Kagome just gave her an exasperated look and started tugging on her arm. "It's been a year already, everyone else has already forgotten so should you! I know it was a bad breakup and everything but get over it! I've tried to be the nice supportive friend but I'm sick of this, if it hurts you that much than obviously you need to get a life and get over it!"

Sango just looked at her in shock wondering how one of her best friends couldn't understand how she felt and was blaming her for how she felt. Yanking her arm out of Kagome's hand she looked at her with all the anger she was feeling at that moment and let loose. "If that's how you feel than maybe you should stay the fuck away from me. Since I'm so stuck on myself and everything then apparently I'm the one that's not being a good friend! Even though I was the one that went with you to get that fucking abortion because you were so stupid that you got drunk and slept with the whole football team and didn't know who the daddy was! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do then hang around with a slut who cheated on her boyfriend and couldn't even gather the courage to tell him." Now it was Kagome's turn to look shocked as Sango turned and started walking but unfortunately she wasn't watching where she was going and ran into someone. Looking up she saw Inuyasha's shocked face staring at her and then Kagome.

"You cheated on me?" Inuyasha said, staring at the floor unable to even look at his girlfriend. "No. no of course not, Sango was just saying that because she was mad at me." Kagome stuttered attempting to reach out to her boyfriend but he kept backing up and the crowd of people kept walking between them. Sango's eyes flashed back and forth trying to think of a way that she could fix the damage she had caused but unfortunately she had her own problems. At the moment that she was about to say something she felt someone grabbing her arm. "Sango, I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?" Shocked, Sango couldn't even find the power to turn around and confront him. Yanking her arm out of his grasp she took of running through the crowd and out the door. Why? Why did Miroku try to talk to me?

If anyone has any ideas feel free to review and advise me on how to fix my story or about any ideas that you have about it. Pairings, too.
