The Blue Spirit Reborn
Prologue
My breaths became more shallow with each step I took. I feared those damned guards would catch me. If only I wasn't so injured. I silently cursed the Fire Nation again. My legs felt like bricks and my injured arm felt as if it were in a bed of hot coals. The only thing that kept me going is the sweet smell of freedom I began feeling for the first time in months.
I continued running for what seemed like a eternity till my foot caught on something. I didn't know what it was. All I did know was that it came with me as I fell down a hill. I finally managed to stop myself and drag my aching body over behind some bushes. I stopped as I heard one of the guards run by. I contiuned to stay still for about a half hour. I still feared those men would return. I hadn't realized it but the sun had set and although I probably should had kept running I know longer ha any strength and fell asleep.
I awoke later that night rested and ready to go. I got up and was about to leave when I saw something shining in the moonlight. It seeemed as if it was calling, or begging me to come look at it. What could I say, I always have been a very curious person, so I turned around and walked over to the object. I couln't believe my eyes. What I saw before me was greater than the greatest treasure in the world, to me at least . I knelted down and picked up what was shining. I no longer needed a weapon. For the thing that tripped me, and i guess saved my life, was a set of broadswords.
I saw something else too. It was like an answer to my prays. What I now possed were the broadswords and mask of a legend, ... The Blue Spirit.
