Narcissa doesn't know why she bothered going to Bellatrix to hear something comforting. Bellatrix has never offered words of comfort before and Narcissa can't figure out why she thought this time it'd be different.
Bellatrix advice is "Get over it, you and Frank broke up months ago."
Just because they broke up doesn't mean that Narcissa stopped loving him, nor is it easy to hear he is engaged to Alice.
Sweet Alice, whose the opposite of Narcissa.
She hadn't wanted to break up with Frank but pressure from their families and the fact they disagreed over Muggleborns made it impossible for them to work.
She's engaged to Lucius Malfoy and she tells herself that she shouldn't care but she does. And Narcissa wishes her older sister could offer more comforting words, but unless it involves the Dark Lord Bellatrix doesn't care.
No one cares that kills Narcissa to know the first person she gave her heart too has moved on.
