Pool insecurities

"Rider get out of the pool immediately!" The gym teacher yelled.
"What's wrong coach?" Alex asked while getting out of the pool.
"Why do you have your shirt on? You look ridiculous. Is this another one of those prank shirts where it changes the pool to a different color?"
"No..." Alex mumbled, not liking the way this conversation was going. He didn't even want to know what would happen if his bullet wound was revealed. He needed to think fast.
"Then why are you wearing a shirt? I don't have all day, you know its against school policy to wear clothes in the pool."
"Well... Umm... I look fat in a bathing suit okay. There I said it."
"Are you kidding me? You have a freaking six pack. Now take the shirt off, I don't know what prank you're trying to pull, but it's not going to work."
"Sir, it's not a six pack, it's more like a flab pack. I barely have any friends as it is. If they see how fat I really am I will have no friends for sure!"
"Alex, take your shirt off and get in the pool. Last football season you took your shirt off all the time. You will have to swim the same amount of laps no matter how long we're standing here."
Alex sighed. This wasn't working out, he needed a new tactic...
"Well, you wouldn't understand Mr. Borner. You're hot, if I had a body like yours I would go swimming shirtless everyday." Alex said, trying his best not to burst into laughter.
The coach got a horrified look on his face. "Well... I. uh... am ..flattered? Uh, this is awkward just get in the freaking pool. But detention after school today in my office... Actually forget that just go home and do whatever you uh... do."
Alex put a big smile on his face and said; "Thanks coach, I wish we could have had detention together though." Then with that he jumped in the pool and started swimming his laps. He had a feeling that the coach wouldn't be asking him to take his shirt off again anytime soon.
