(A/N: I was going to wait till the weekend to post this, but then I decided just to post it now. I was lurking around the NaNoWriMo forums, and I was looking at a topic for prompts, and one of them was "…Why am I on your To Do list?" I thought it would be funny to write a scene about that for Nessa and Boq. So here it is. Enjoy!)
To Do
Boq saw Nessa scribbling away in a little notebook she always seemed to have. I wonder what she writes in there…he thought. He bent down next to Nessa to see what she was writing.
In Nessa's neat handwriting she had written "To Do:" at the top of the page. Underneath that was written:
-Go to Meeting
-Create New Law
-Remind a Servant to Shine my Shoes
-Remember to Breathe
-Boq
Boq frowned. Why was he on a To Do list? Why was he on Nessa's To Do list?
"Madame?"
"Yes, Boq?" Nessa didn't look up from her notebook.
"Is there a reason I'm on your To Do list?"
"Yes, of course there's a reason."
"Would you mind telling me what it is?"
"Well," Nessa smiled a lopsided smile. "Let's just say…I have some plans for us tonight in my bedroom."
Boq woke up screaming, then realized it had all been a dream. There was no To Do list, and if there was one, he definitely wasn't on it.
Just then, Nessa rolled into the room. "Oh, hey Boq," she said brightly. "You remembered that you're on my To Do list for today, right?"
