Another world: A poem written by Love Inc. for the Anime/Manga Vampire Knight

Such friendly gentle eyes,

Of a rich chocolate color so deep,

Her sweet face so relaxed while she is fast asleep,

Her hair so soft and smooth,

A smile as bright as the sun,

The one to whom I always run,

Her short hair as soft as a feather,

Makes me want to hold onto her forever,

She is the only one in whom I can safely confide,

A person from whom I can never hide,

I met her one day bruised and bleeding,

And she enabled me to begin my healing.

I stood alone,

A woman whose heart was as cold and hard as stone,

I was trained to become a triumphant vampire hunter,

However when I too became one I was no longer able to suppress my hunger,

The look on her face when my teeth sunk into her tender flesh,

Such immense fear written all over her face,

Had me thinking how I could have become such a disgrace,

She understood me and knew I did not want to accept what I had become,

And although I tried to end my existence in order to protect her,

I realised that new feelings had risen and began to stir,

She sacrificed her blood for me,

And silently accepted what I was soon to be,

I knew that I was deeply and utterly in love with you,

However that man I hated so much was too,

The way you always looked up to him,

How you always obeyed his every whim,

As maddening as it was to watch myself loose you,

I knew I could never live with myself if I ever made you cry,

So now you see I can no longer lie,

A golden smile, I was not meant to see,

Something that was purely not intended to be,

A forbidden love that I can no longer hide,

Rules between our clashing worlds to which I must abide,

Bewitched me as you have,

As fragile as a rose, as pure as a dove,

One thing that you simply must know,

Is that you are the only one whom I can ever love.

I would give my life for you,

Something that I know he would also do,

I could never compete with someone with a status such as yourself

Me, selfishly sucking your precious blood vital to my health,

With you so high above me, how can I ever compare to you?

No matter what I say or do,

I only ever wished for your happiness,

And never did I think of you any less,

So now I sit back here all alone,

With you and him together on your rightful throne,

Never do I cease thinking of you two

And then I picture him there next to you.

Silver pools blind my tired eyes,

Hopelessly I look up toward the skies,

Concrete blocks look down upon me,

And solid steel bars block the path ahead,

A bloody rose lies alone,

Its sweet melody now reduced to a single tone,

It once reminded me of a happier place,

But now all I see are memories of your face,

I pick up the lonely rose,

Heavenly bliss so far but yet so close.

I sit alone once again,

That bloody rose my only friend,

That last hope which she so eagerly lends.

So I believe I have finally found my salvation,

Here I am, no longer required,

She calls to me, wishing to be fired,

A member of the lowest class of vermin such as myself,

No longer can I reach out to you for your help,

I hear her voice and I am finally saved,

That salvation which for so long I have craved,

Warmth surrounds me, are they your arms?

No, they can't be for they welcome me lovingly,

And you have succumbed to that other man's charms,

Night is coming I have to go,

In another world perhaps we shall meet again,

My love for you will have to wait until then.
