"Dad, I have to go take care of some sheriff stuff, so could you take Henry while I'm off?"
"I would, but me and your mother have stuff to do as well. What about Regina?"
"Nah, she's busy too"
"Why don't you ask Hook? He can take him on the boat or something"
"Yeah, I guess, but are you sure there's no one else?"
"No. What's wrong with Hook? I thought you trusted him after everything that happened in Neverland!"
"I do. It's just, I don't know if I trust him to be with my son, alone. After all,he doesn't have experience with kids"

"That wasn't Killian's fault Emma and you know it"

Emma didn't know that a a certain someone had heard the whole conversation.
"Nice to know that you're trusted isn't it?" Killian snapped as he came around the corner.
"Oh, urm, Killian, how much did you hear?"
"I don't know, oh yeah, the whole thing"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that!"
She could see the hurt in his eyes as he turned his back and walked off. David just looked at Emma, disappointment in his eyes.
"Don't look at me like that"
"I just thought that you of all people, would know that everyone deserves a second chance Emma"
"Alright, I'll go talk to him"
She walked off and walked to the docks. She knew he would be here. She saw him, legs swung over the walkway. She sat down next to him and looked out to sea.
"I do trust you, you know"
"That's not what I heard"
"I don't know what was wrong with me"
"I get that I'm a pirate and I always will be Swan and you're not meant to trust a pirate but I honestly thought we'd got past that. After everything we went through I thought I'd earned your trust" he whispered.
"You did, I mean you have! I would put my own life in your hands"
"Yeah, just not anyone else's"
"You can look after Henry tomorrow if you want?"
"No Emma. I don't want to look after someone when I know you will just be worrying the whole time that I'm not looking after them"
"I do trust you Killian. I'm just a bit wary because of what happened in Neverland. I've lost Henry so many times and I just don't want it to happen again"
"I wouldn't hurt Henry Swan, I would have risked my life for that boy because he means something to you"
