(Story takes place in Station Square in the morning with Sonic running through the city)
Sonic: Aww what a nice day.
Sonic: *smells chilidogs* I believe now is the perfect time for a chilidog. ^^
*sonic runs over to the chilidog stand and orders a chilidog*
Sonic: *takes chilidog and pays* Thanks. *takes a bite* Mmmm oh chilidog what would I do without you.
Amy: SONIC!
Sonic: A-Amy! W-what brings you here? ^^;
Amy: I don't know. Oh wait I do. YOU FORGOT OUR DATE, AGAIN!
Sonic: D-date?
Amy: You said, you were gonna take me out on a night on the town last night and you didn't come.
Sonic: I'm sorry, Amy. Eggman came up with another plan and had to stop him.
Amy: It's always about Eggman. You always say you were fighting Eggman or were tied up with something or just plain forgot. *cries*
Sonic: Amy...
Amy: This has happen too many times, Sonic. I love you. But I think I'll stop chasing after you now. I just can't take the heart ache anymore. *runs off crying*
Sonic: Amy!
Sonic: ...
(Hours later at Tail's workshop in Mystic Ruins)
Sonic: And then she ran off crying.
Tails: That's pretty bad.
Sonic: I know.
Tails: Look Sonic instead of being here. I think ya need to apologize to Amy.
Sonic: You think I don't know that! *startled Tails and calms down* I just don't know what to say to her.
Tails: How about a simple "I'm sorry." But put more effort into.
Sonic: Okay. I think that might work.
Sonic: Thanks Tails *speeds off to Station Square*
Tails: Man, I don't understand love.
(Night time at Station Square)
Sonic: *been running for half an hour* Where are you, Amy?
Somebody help!
Sonic: *stops* Amy. *runs into an alleyway*
*Sonic sees Amy against the wall with Scourge holding her hands above her head.
Scourge: Come on babe. Just one kiss.
Amy: No! Leave me alone! *tries to summon her PikoPiko Hammer*
Scourge: Your pretty cute when your scared, Pinky. *leans in for a kiss*
Sonic: Let go of her! *runs and slames Scourge away*
Amy: Sonic!
Scourge: Damn it, Blue. Just when it was getting good too. *gets up*
Sonic: Stay away from Amy.
Scourge: *smirks* Or what?
Sonic: *charges and swings at him*
Scourge: *dodges* Too slow. *punches Sonic*
Sonic: *gets hit but recovers* Take this!
*Sonic and Scourge fight.
Sonic: *punches Scourge between the glasses and knees him in the stomach*
Scourge: Ow...
Sonic: Get out of here.
Scourge: *leaves*
Sonic: *turns away and looks at Amy* You okay, Amy?
Amy: *shakes head and trembling* I was so scared. *cries and holds self*
Sonic: Everything going to be okay now, Amy. He's gone. *hugges Amy tight*
Amy: *still trembling and crying*
Sonic: Amy... I'm sorry. *nuzzles her head*
Amy: What?
Sonic: I'm sorry I hurt you and I wasn't there for you when you needed me. The truth is... I was scared that if you got too involved with me you get hurt. I was worried something bad would happen and I couldn't protect you.
Amy: *hugges Sonic* Sonic, you'll always be my protector.
Sonic: ...
Sonic: *kisses Amy* I love you, Amy.
Amy: I love you too, Sonic.
