She was not the beauty to his beast, though she was 'strong, beautiful, and full of light'. It wasn't the chance at the fairy tale or even him offering to show her the world. There were gestures and notions hinting towards an epic love. It was youthful, but it wasn't innocence that drew them together. Despite the difference in their age, they were both damaged and both had done terrible things. In the end, it wasn't the romanticized notion of love but what their love represented: The idea that somewhere, out in the world, someone thinks of you fondly; that someone out there loves you. It was hope./p
