Lemon Drops and Sherbet Lemons
Albus liked sweet things. Pudding. Cake. Ice-cream. Lemon drops – who had none of the bitterness of raw lemons. He didn't like sherbet lemon though.
He'd tasted lemon drops in the Muggle world and had immediately fallen in love. It went to reason, therefore, that sherbet lemon wouldn't be too different.
Except it was. It was weird, horrible, and he hated it, spitting it out immediately as though it was a wax-flavoured Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Bean and drowning himself with water, then Firewhiskey as the need for something stronger ensured. It was nothing like his precious lemon drops – and his stomach was most upset with him, denying him his new favourite sweet as Severus put him on a longer than necessary regiment of potions to cure him.
He'd received his new purple earmuffs in the mail during that time though, so there were able to occupy him quite nicely.
