It was a beautiful day in the Unova region when wanna-be-pokemon-master Ash Ketchum realised something extremely important. The sky was filled with not a single cloud and the sun pounded on land below. Cilan and Iris had wanted to hear about all his previous travels. Ash told them eagerly about the future breeder Brock, that was now a pokemon doctor, May, a budding coordinator and Max who was almost ten and ready to set out on a journey of his own. His latest travelling partners asked him about someone by the name of Misty. Ash's heart clenched but he grinned as he told the tales of the fearsome but kind hearted, tomboyish yet sensitive best friend of his. His eyes filled with tears as he told them about the agonising day she had to leave him. The pair soothed him when they saw how heartbroken he was. Ash thanked them with a tear stained smile before Cilan headed off to cook while Iris found some vines to swing on. It was this moment that Ash realised that very important thing about the red head. Ash Ketchum, wanna-be-pokemon-master, realised that he was in love with his best friend.
