Ok, I was not happy with how Spike's final scenes in Chosen went, so I
decided to do a little re-write. No, Joss, I ain't getting a dime, ya
greedy mook!

Spike looked doubtingly at her, despite the pain tearing through is body. "No you don't. But thanks for saying it."
Buffy sobbed, "Oh my god, you are *not* being stubborn right now. Spike I *do* love you. I'm sorry I never realized it before, but I do. Talk about bad timing."
Spike grimaced as the energy radiated through his body. "If you love me, prove it. Get out of here and go take care of the only two things in the world that matter to me, you and Nibblet."
"Spike, you have to come with me. You've done enough."
"No, I have to see it through. Let's get this done, once and for all. Buffy, I've done so much evil. Let me do this. Let a vamp have his bloody moment in the sun." Spike winced as he looked upward. "Literally." He shoved her away as best he could.
"Spike!" Buffy cried.
"GO!" Spike growled at her and she could see him trying to keep his demon at bay as the searing pain coursed through his body.
Buffy ducked under the energy radiating from the amulet. She made it up two stairs behind him when she heard the structure crumbling. She stopped and turned to see the hell mouth collapsing. "Spike, I love you!"
"Love you too, pet. Now, please, go. Dawn....." Spike called to her without turning around. She took a short moment to look at him, seeing this once evil vampire finding his redemption and peace, at last. When the stairs started cracking, she sprinted the rest of the way up and into the school basement.
Spike was about to pass out from the pain, but the energy kept him upright. The last thought that went through his head before he burned from within was that he had finally found his redemption: her love.
