This is just the summary of the idea I have, if I posted the whole thing some parts of it would be spoiled and I don't want anyone who is not intrested in writing it to have the story spoiled for them if they plan on one day reading it. Lance is the younger brother of Princess Allura, son of Alfor and his wife, they lived a happy life each child looking forward to the day they would present their second gender. Allura presented as a Beta but as the decapheebs passed Lance never presented. Then one quintent while Alfor was visiting a planet for a peace talk they discovered a young man who looked Altean (if you ignored the weird ears and lack of markings) that had crashed landed on the planet, and like his son did not have a sent distinguishing a second gender. Alfor decided to take him back with him to Altea and with a few blood samples while the young man was still unconscious provided that he was half Galran and half an unknown species. After Keith awoke he told them his name and upon asked that his fathers species didn't have secondary genders. Alfor assuming the reason he ran away from the Galran empire was his status as a half-breed and lack of secondary gender, hired him onto the castle staff with out a second thought. Lance upon meeting Keith instantly becomes attached, and Keith slowly starts to fall in love without even realizing.
