She belittles you with only a scathing amber glare and angry huff of her breath.
She can cut you to the core with only a few words.
She can destroy, annihilate, and demolish your entire high school life with a flick of her manicured finger.
So when Derrick Harrington walked into school on Wednesday morning, after making the huge mistake of cheating on the alpha, he expected to need full on protection service or something equally absurdly necessary. Instead of a dangerous war zone, he faced the average everyday crowded halls. Some how that made him even more nervous. There was no way he was just off the hook like that. All day he went threw his classes casting nervous glances around.
And then he saw her. Proud and mighty walking down the hall flanked by all her friends even a red-eyed, paint covered, red head. Derrick winces ready for a smack or insult or maybe even a cuss out. Instead she swept past him never spearing him a glance and simply walking to get to her next class.
And that's when Derrick felt it the undeliberate pain she still dished out even when not bothering to hurt him. Massie Block is a commander, warrior, a fighter. But everyone knew fighters only fight when they think it's worth it. The unsent message was clear. Massie didn't see a point is getting angry with Derrick. At plotting revenge or making him miserable. Massie didn't think Derrick was worth it. Worth getting angry over his disloyalty.
He knew he deserved some kind of diss but at the same time he had been ready to dish back an insult if she went too harsh or said something too low. Except now, he realized, he never would. Because you can only get in the fight with someone willing to get in the ring with you. You can only fight with some one when they care enough to fight back. And Massie Block didn't care. And that hurt more than anything.
