Last Memory
Family/Angst, T, death character, drabble-fic.
I own nothing here. Not even the song I was listening to when I write this fic.
What should he do now?
Kreacher had left him alone in this island—he ordered that house-elf to leave him before, after they spent some time that felt like a very long time. His body had been weakened by the cursed thing he drank, until the point where he couldn't even sit properly. Laying hopelessly near a false horcrux he put there, waiting for death to come and claim him…
How pathetic.
He wanted to smirk—a smirk that almost similar with his brother's. But he was too weak to do it. He smiled pitifully at himself, watching the darkened scenery above while waiting to be taken away by the wave.
He couldn't even disappearate now.
A flash of memories appeared inside his mind; the clearest one was the time where Sirius decided to leave home. He could do nothing but to watch him left. He couldn't stop his mother from burning Sirius' image at Black Family tree. He couldn't make his brother return—
"Goodbye, Regulus."
No. Don't leave me. I'm scared.
His tears fell silently to the wet soil.
Don't leave me alone, Sirius.
He extended his hands hopelessly toward the blurred image of his leaving brother.
Come back—
He was looking at the darkening sky when Remus suddenly appeared next to him.
"Sirius."
He dared not to speak. His body was trembling heavily. He was scared.
Something sad was happening—far, far away from this place. That's what his mind told him. Deep inside his heart, he didn't want to hear any news—but he was a rebellious type. A real one of that. "What is it, Remus?"
Ah. Rain started to fall outside.
"Your brother—"
"—he's dead."
Can't fate become far crueler than now?
The End.
