Hermione POV
I ran through the dungeon halls. Not being able to bear what I had just witnessed. Ron. Ron of all people had to nerve to. I was so close to bursting into tears. I just had to get out of there nowhere where I could identify anything with Ron. Soon I felt myself run into a strong heavy body. Not being able to stop myself I crash to the floor. Gazing up I saw a head of silvery blond hair.
"Granger what in the hell are you doing down here?" Draco Malfoy snapped glaring at me in confusion.
I couldn't help but remember back to only two hours ago.

I was coming back to Gryffindor tower from the library, just finishing studying for the upcoming OWLS. Tonight I planned on finally giving Ron his answer after two long weeks. We had been dating for a year, and two weeks ago Ron proposed to me after hearing about the great success Professor Snape had when asking Harry. I simply replied with a maybe. Such a stupid answer but I wanted to be sure.
When I walked through the portrait into the common room my jaw dropped. There on the couch in front of the fireplace was Ron and Lavender snogging each other's lungs out. Ron took one look at the door sensing my presence and his jaw dropped. I swiftly gave him the bird, and told him my redecied answer. No. Swiftly I ran out the door.

I wanted to give Draco I rude answer like normal, but I couldn't I was too upset. Instead I leaned in and started sobbing on his shoulder. Silently he just stroked my hair until I stopped.
"I'm sorry." I spoke weakly.
"It's alright." He smiled really smiled, and then brushed my hair behind my ear.
Draco is nice and warm I should probably be curious, but I really don't care anymore.
