I am watching The Andy Griffith Show. It inspired me to create this fanfic. Summary: What would have happened if Ellie Walker didn't leave Mayberry. What if she and Andy got hitched up. This fanfic will explain it. Disclaimer: I don't own The Andy Griffith Show, CBS did own it, I believe Paramount owns it now.
Ellie's POV (In Walker's Drug Store) : Well, I says, "Good bye, Uncle. It was nice working along with you." He replies,
"It was nice having you around, Ellie." Suddenly, just before I left the store, Sheriff Andy Taylor came in. He says, "So, it's so long then?"
"Yes."
"Well, I would wish you would reconsider moving away. I would miss you here. The fact is..." He went on one knee, held my hand and continued, "I wouldn't find a better mother for Opie, since my first wife died. What I am trying to get at..." Then his hand dived into his pocket, and pulled out this container, opened it up and there was a ring inside. I knew what was coming and I smiled, he continued, "is, Ellie, will you marry me?" I could tell he was nervous. I could feel my cheeks flushing as I says, "Yes. I was hoping you would propose to me." Then I lightly kissed him. We set the wedding in three months. I made all the preparations necessary. At the time of the marriage, we had a reverend marry us because The Justice of the Peace can't marry us (because he was the one getting married). The Rev. says, "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here this day to bind this man and this woman in holy matrimony. Andy Taylor, do you take this woman to be your lawful wedded wife?" Andy says,
"I do." Then the Rev. continues,
"Ellie Walker, do you take this man to be your lawful wedded husband?" I says,
"I do." The he continues again,
"If there is anybody who thinks these two may not be married, speak now or forever hold your peace." No one objected, so the Rev. says, "Then by the powers invested in me, I announce thee man, and wife. You may kiss the bride." Andy grabbed me in his arms and kissed me. Then after the marriage, we had a reception. We danced. Then we went on our honeymoon to the capital. I love Andy. He loves me.
