Computer notices before he does, which might be insulting did she not sound so disappointed. Dexter scribbles something into an overflowing binder and ignores the cramping beginning in his wrist.

"I apologize for interrupting," she says. "I've been noticing a lack of Dee Dee related incidents, though. Is something wrong with her health?"

Dexter marks his place and flexes his fingers and wrists. "Dee Dee has begun exploring dance programs hoping one will pick her for a scholarship. Her world has become dance, homework, and the occasional snack."

"I see," she hums. "How does that make you feel, Dexter?"

"Bored."
