A/N- This is just a short, sweet thing that was spurred on by a fellow Johanna and Gale shipper on DA. We decided that the Katniss and Peeta would be really, really happy for them. This was the result. Not my best, I don't think. Still, enjoy!
Peeta asked her what happened when he walked into the living room and found her staring blankly. Thinking. Katniss didn't answer until he was sat beside her.
"Johanna's been staying in District Two, with Gale. Their seeing each other." The other victors words ran through her head at speaking about it. Said casually and calmly as they caught up on almost nine months of nothing.
I really had no where to go once Peeta and Annie left the Capitol. Wandered to Two and found Gale. It's complicated, but...I like it here. Me and Gale aren't, dating I guess, but we might as well be, sleeping in the same bed sorta means that.
It shocked her at first. But then...she was happy for them. Very happy, actually. She would never love Gale, not like she loved Peeta. But he was a good guy, on the inside.
The fact he found someone to love him as much as he loved them made her glad for him. He deserved a love like that, after all he had lost. And Johanna was tough, but a spit-fire. Outgoing and adventurous. Jo would defiantly make him happy. He'd make her happy, too. Finally giving her someone to be beside her in her time of need.
Peeta shared her thoughts. "That's so great! They...they seem really good for each other." He spoke excitedly. Wrapping an arm around her and she leaned into his shoulder. "Both of them lost so much, they deserved each other." Peeta finished.
Before Peeta and her dissolved into soft kisses and each other and her thoughts were on only the boy she considered her souldmate, Katniss had a final though. They both wanted change so badly, now they have someone who understands. They deserve this kind of peace and happiness.
