CHAPTER 1: Barrys forensic lab - ten minutes before the star labs explosion.
barry stood at his board trying to make connections in the case of his mothers murder, even after all these years he knew it wasn't his father, or was it ? There's a massive question that's always looming over him, bugging him his whole life- who IS the yellow streak that killed his mother and turned his life upside down. Maybe joe was right, may he'd been repressing memories of his father killing his mother, maybe the streak had been a fabricated story in the mind of a seven year old who was to scared to face reality...but even now he didn't want to face reality. he heard a sound outside. he turned to look at his window, it seemed to be coming from star labs! he heard another sound from behind him, Turning to face the sound he saw a swirling green circle hanging aloft in midair, wobbling like a bowl of jelly.
Dimension C194- vambots
"Morty *bu-urp* we need to get outta here, come on!" Rick looked at Morty expectantly. "oh jeez Rick, i cant just leave my family like this." he took Morty by the right arm and started getting out his portal gun with the left "they're not your family morty, in this universe the 'Smiths' are blood sucking vampire robots! do you want your blood sucked MORTY! HUH DO YOU MO-*BU-URP*-ORTY!" Jerry,Summer and Beth turned the corner of the cemetary at that moment and rushed all together towards Morty. " ah! glarpiglorp! i don't have time to calibrate the portal gun Morty!" rick shoots the gun at a gravestone and a lime,swirling portal appears. It could take them to any place at any point in time, still holding Morty, Rick pushes him into the portal-" and awwwaaay we go !" Rick follows.

Morty barrels out of the portal and straight into Barrys chest, they roll away in a slump. A wave of yellow energy explodes from star labs. Rick emerges from the portal feeling triumphant for escaping the vambots. He threw his hand in the air fist pumping with joy " WUBALUBBA DUB DUB!." At that moment a bolt of golden lightning came smashing down through the roof and hit the tip of Ricks spiked blue hair and coursed through the rest of his body, Ricks light grey skin went pale and he dropped to the ground.
