Your eyes, shut.

Your shades, on.

For now, that is.

You had gone cold since her disappearance, but that was alright. She promised she'd only take a minute. You opened an eye partly, scanning the room as you shrugged off being alone, and kicked your shoes off. There would be no need for them now.

You crossed your arms behind your head and smirked, thinking of your latest cool accomplishments. Chuckling softly at your own thoughts, which are too cool to be named, you closed your eye again and relaxed.

Bad idea.

She pounced onto you from the side of the bed, clinging onto you tightly with a soft smile. You shot your eyes open and looked at her, your heart somewhat racing. You hadn't been frightened like that since Bro, and you weren't glad to have it back.

You told her not to do it again, kindly. And she nodded. She apologized and cuddled into your side with an apologetic smile. You couldn't deny it, it was too cute. Though you would never downright say that to her, you were too cool. So instead, you wrapped your arms around her in return.

You pulled her up close, running your hands through her hair, reminding yourself not to touch her horns. Twirling a lock in your fingers, you leaned your forehead against hers. She looked up, beyond the shades, and peered into your eyes. You saw the happiness in hers and chuckled.

She tilted her head questioningly and you told her it was nothing. She nodded skeptically and smiled, leaning up closer and sliding your shades off. You shut your eyes. She told you to open them, and you could sense her pouting. You groaned and complied, blinking and looking away.

She turned your cheek towards her and swung her leg over you, straddling your waist with a smirk. She cooed, questioning why you never let her see your eyes, and you rolled them. You told her they weren't so important, and you shrugged. She sighed and leaned over, wrapping her arms around your neck and pulling you up to sit up with her.

You slipped your arms around her waist and rested your head into her chest with a smirk. Closing your eyes, you relaxed, feeling safe this time in her arms. She lifted your head, caressing your cheek as you sensed her closer.

She smiled and placed her lips upon yours, which you happily returned with ease. You reached up, running your hands through her hair as you slid your tongue along her lower lip. Happily, she parted her own and let your tongue find it's way to hers. The two intertwined in a warm, wet embrace, and danced with each other.

Parting for air a little while later, you pulled her onto you as you fell back, holding her close. She told you she loved you, and you told her, with a smirk, that the feeling was mutual. She rolled her eyes with a smile and leaned over, pulling the blankets up to her waist.

Groaning, you set your shades on the end table and pulled your jeans and t-shirt off. Only lame kids wear actual sensible clothes to bed. She giggled at this and pulled the covers to your chest. You rolled your eyes and turned the lights off before embracing her again.

You told her she was silly, and she nodded and cuddled into your chest.

You were happy.

And so was she.
