Lawrence watched as his two boys walked past quickly talking about whatever it was they were planning to do that day. At the beginning of the summer he had been as oblivious to their creations as their mother was but he quickly realized that the two kids were able to do what they did. Not that it ever surprised him. They had always been some of the smartest kids he'd ever seen.
"Hey, where's Perry?" The redhead asked to nobody as he passed through. Now that was something that had shocked Mr. Fletcher. He really wanted to tell his sons, or even their pet, that he knew where he went, but he didn't know how to go about it. That day had been weird and he still wasn't sure how much of it was real.
He had been walking with a rather large ball when he saw the hole in the side of the house and climbed in. He flew through a series of tubes until he landed in some underground cellar where he saw Perry, with a hat on, be addressed by an older man with a white mustache and a green suit coat on. Lawrence took a step back upon realizing he wasn't supposed to know this and fell into a chair. After that there's a gap.
The next thing he truly knew he was in front of Candace at the Father-Daughter Picnic Games. But for some reason he was having great memory for the next week, he even remembered that silly beat keeping rhythm Candace had tried to teach him. But one memory from when he was about two was standing out amongst the others because of how peculiar it was.
He remembered a kid with red hair and the same older man talking. Something about an eraser. The kids had some robots or something that looked like his current family. Then they brought him back to the chair which he could have sworn they called a memory restorer.
After he and Candace won the race he went home and searched the names he remembered online. He knew he wasn't supposed to remember any of that. As he thought on it, and saw the interns website dedicated to the agency, he realized what happened. He lost his memories in the machine and Carl had his pet platypus operate a robot of him while he restored his memories. Apparently Carl wasn't a quick thinker however because it appeared he even restored all of his memories; including those of the agency he wasn't supposed to regain.
Mr. Fletcher had been sitting in front of the T.V. all day thinking about his weird predicament with his pet. Suddenly he saw Perry land out front and walk in on all fours through the doggie door.
"Oh there you are Perry. Had an exciting day I see." Maybe someday he'd bring it up. But right now, the way his sons were making the summer the best, and their pet making it the safest, he didn't see any reason anyone had to know.
