Silly fluffy oneshot: The Doctor and Rose
Decided to write a cute little fanfic about the life of the Doctor and Rose aboard the TARDIS because hey why not.
Please enjoy x o
A stubbed toe and a miracle cure.
Rose had just rolled out of bed, her hair sticking up in every direction, having heard the Doctor's muffled cry of "Ow! who put that there!?" in the next room. He'd obviously stubbed his toe on the corner of his bed... Again. Superior Timelord senses? Yeah right! She thought, grinning to herself.
Creeping to her door, she peered out into the corridor, then doubled up with laughter as she saw the Doctor hopping precariously in the opposite direction. On hearing her he spun round, his ears turning scarlet. This made Rose laugh even harder, until tears trickled down her cheeks, he looked so... Naive and child-like, and to put it simply, quite adorable.
However she would have to persuade him that fluffy dressing gowns didn't flatter him in the slightest.
"Are you quite finished mocking me Miss Tyler?" The Doctor said, a hint of amusement evident in his voice. Crossing his arms he tried his best to give her a disapproving look, but he just ended up grinning and giving her a cheeky wink.
Once she had composed herself, Rose rolled her eyes and walked towards him, flashing her perfect smile in his direction.
"Come here let me help you silly." Rose murmured, taking his arm and wrapping it round her shoulder. They walked in silence, apart from the Doctor's occasional grunt of pain.
Once they had reached the library, and the Doctor had made himself comfortable on the sofa, he tugged on her arm, prompting her to sit beside him. So she did, after all there was nowhere else she would rather be. "You're such a clown, can't leave you alone for ten minutes without you getting yourself into trouble, can I?" Rose said and poked him in the ribs playfully. To her surprise he looked rather sheepish and she let out a small giggle of contentment.
Pulling on his ear he smiled up at her, "I was just... Y'know, testing if my toe's nerve endings were still working."
Rose threw a pillow at him, and stood up, "Wait there you daft alien. I know something that'll help." Before leaving she planted a small kiss on his forehead then walked away before he could react.
It was a good ten minutes before she returned. Knocking on the door frame she shouted jokingly,
"Anyone home?"
"No." Came the reply.
Rose couldn't help but smile at this, the Doctor, last of the time lords, the oncoming storm, had stubbed his toe and didn't have a clue how to make it better.
"No need to be rude, I'm helping you remember?" She said in a slightly patronizing tone as she walked to the sofa, sitting down she took his foot gently in her lap, placing a bag of ice on his swollen toe. The Doctor inhaled sharply, "Rose are you trying to kill me? That's absolutely freezing." He whined, his bottom lip sticking out.
Sighing she leant over and brushed her lips against his, for a minute he froze, then giving in, melted into her lips, kissing her back softly. Shifting about on the sofa to brush a stray hair from her face, the Doctor pulled away and placed three delicate kisses on her jawbone, smiling against her neck as he heard her sigh with content. When he finally looked up at her, he was almost lost for words. She was so beautiful. For a human anyway. What he had ever done to deserve her he didn't know, but he had her and he wasn't going to let her go any time soon.
"Rose?" He said quietly, waggling his eyebrows, "I think you may have to kiss me once more just to make sure my toe is fully recovered."
