God Eater 2 Hiro X Nana
Today has been an interesting day: today is the day I was chosen to be a God Eater and not a regular one either. I was told that I will be made a part of the Blood Special forces unit although I couldn't tell you why I was chosen or why it's special. I also got to meet the leader of said unit: Julius Visconti who seems kind although I haven't hadn't talked to him much.
My first day consisted mostly of training: trying out different god arcs and seeing which one feels right for me: right now, I prefer the short blades type. After training I decided to make my way to the lounge area of Friar which leads me to where I am now. As I make my way there I notice a girl, maybe a year younger than me, sitting there eating some strange looking sandwich wearing clothes that leave little to the imagination to put it bluntly. As I sit down she takes notice of me and starts talking to me.
"Hey there! You where so freaking super amazing out there today!" she says excitedly, think it's safe to say she's a little energetic.
She continues without even giving me the chance to respond. "You're a newbie, huh? I mean, new to this… Blood… Special Force. You know what I mean. I'm Nana Kozuki, Cadet Second Class. Ha-ha! I just got brought up to"
"You're new as well? I'm glad I won't be the only newbie here." I respond "My name is Hiro Kamui, it's nice to meet you Nana."
"Wow you're polite haha. It's so awesome to meet you!" Nana says excitedly.
"Haha yeah. So anyway how did your training go? I'm curious how someone else did." I ask, wanting to continue the conversation and not let it end awkwardly.
"Hmm… I was… Well… Um… Not great… exactly." She says with a lot less energy then before.
To try and cheer her up I quickly say "Don't worry about it. I didn't do the best either, took me a while to decide what god arc I liked and even longer to get a grasp on how to use it properly" laughing nervously as scratch the back of my head.
"Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one." Sounding very relieved "We're two peas, you and I. We should stick together."
Then without another word being shared she eats the sandwich she in a few second flat. I sit there wide eyed as she reaches into the sack she had next to her and pulls out another one of those sandwiches. It seems to have a variety of different ingredients in it, I honestly can't tell if it'd would be good or not.
She then stretches her arm out to give me the sandwich "In honour of our newfound friendship! It's my Mom's secret-super-special recipe! An amazing oden sandwich! Give it a try! Betcha love it!"
"T-Thanks" I respond, taking the sandwich a little unsure of it.
"Opps! Training starts any minute now! I almost totally zoned! Sandwiches are a blessing and a curse." She says not noticing my uncertainty.
"Sorry, gotta run. See you soon!" She then runs off without a moment to respond.
As I sit there confused I can't take my mind off our little interaction. I wonder if everyone else in the Blood Unit will be like this. Still she was nice and I enjoyed talking her, plus I couldn't help but think she looked cute. I hope I get to talk with her more. I then look at the sandwich, realising I hadn't eaten a while I take a bite.
"…This actually isn't bad."
