A/N: Valentine's Day is today. Weepidodah. I don't like it one bit but I luv the chance to write fluff on such occasions. So here I go. This is going by the letters of the holiday. Well I'm almost done with Love Obsession chap3, I'm also almost done with First Date 2, and my Time is Running Out is about completed to but I just can't seem to make it settle to my liking…so idk. "Do you miss her?" Mai asked as she picked up the picture of Ryou and his little sister.

She knew it was a stupid question to ask. Who wouldn't miss their sibling? It…it was just something that slipped out as she stared at the picture of the two siblings. They looked so happy and she couldn't help but think that Ryou thought of her a lot if there was a picture of her right on his dresser.

There was a long pause as Mai waited for an answer. She knew she had brought up something delicate to him and was thinking of what she could say to lighten the blow she had just brought to her boyfriend. She was about to try to steer the conversation somewhere else when a soft sigh was heard from the bed where Ryou was sitting.

"Always" was the whispered reply as she heard his light footsteps walking towards her.

"I always will." Ryou said as he approached her and looped his arms around her in a somewhat hug.

Ryou leaned his head against her shoulder and looked out the window that was to right of them. He let another sigh escape his lips as he looked at the stars and placed a kiss on Mai's shoulder.

"Sorry for bringing it up" Mai mumbled as she grasped onto his arms and leaned her head down to place a kiss on his cheek.

There was silence for a moment as both of them stared out into the starry night watching the moon shine down and cast a lovely glow.

Mai sighed as she snuggled closer to Ryou. She wished she could say something to make the atmosphere feel less awkward.

"Mother used to tell me that if I ever missed her while she was away to look at the stars and we'd be together again." Ryou said as he gently rubbed Mai's arm.

Mai remained silent as she stared down at her boyfriend. His eyes looked sad but there seemed to be some kind of aura around him that didn't seem so…depressed.

"How would the stars help you?" Mai asked as she turned herself around to face him, trying not to break the weak embrace he had her in.

Ryou stared into the violet eyes that he loved so much and let a small smile lace his lips as he moved a stray hair from her face.

"She told me that no matter where you are, we all look at the same stars. She told me that the stars will always connect us because even though life changes, the stars will always be there. " He answered her as he leaned in and kissed her on the lips.

Mai smiled into the gentle kiss as she took in his information. She felt the anxiety of bringing up his sister finally leave her as they pulled away and she stared into his brown eyes.

"You know, even though I miss both of them, I don't feel as alone when I look at the stars" Ryou sighed as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

Mai felt complete as he pulled her closer still and both of them stood there staring out the window and at the beautiful, abundant stars that light up the night sky.
