"aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhhhh?" scearmed the tirteen year-old avatar "Sugarqueen...Twinkletoes...nightmare...fix...it...sleepy...time" said the blind earth bender.
" I know Toph ,I know..I was already awake, he sleept longer than usual tonight" the master water bender said to the already snoring girl.
"Aang"she whisper to the boy sitting about on the balcony of the Jasmine Dragon teashop. they had been staying and working at the teashop with Iroh for about three weeks the final battle had been almost a month ago.
"Aang,sweetie are you okay "she asked her boy friend of almost three weeks.
" yeah ,I'm fine katara ,just the nightmare..."he was sobbing now.
" shhhh..it's okay ,i'm fine,you're fine ,everybody's okay,everything's okay baby it is going to get better I'm not going anywhere..shhh...shhh baby" she was holding him to her chest and she kisses he head and face "can you tell me about the dream Aang "
"It's when you and Zuko where fighting Azula but I'm not fighting Ozai I'm watching but I can't move and when Azula shoots the lightining at you Zuko doesn't move fast enough and it hits you and...and...i-i--i--i--i--t-tt--tt...ka-ka...ki--ki--ki--kill-kills you."Aang was crying harder than Katara thought possible. she lifted his chin with her finger so that he could see her face "you know it didn't hit me I'm fine Aang look at me sweetheart i know you can protect me your the avatar the strongest man in the world and I love you and not only as the avatar but also as the goofy little kid that we found in the iceberg"
"love..you...too"Aang murmured"and...I don't ever want you to leave me "
"I wasn't planing on it" said the waterbending girl with a small smile and when a giggle passed her lips it made Aang look up and he gave Katara his goofy grin "You promise not to leave"Aang whisper to Katara. she look into his face and smiled at him "of course I promise silly" she smiled he smiled back " do you think you can sleep,now?"said Katara as Aang tried to hide a yawn "only if you stay with me"
"I will "
Aang drifted in to a peaceful slumber with katara holding him close and also falling into a dreamless slumber,that is until Sokka woke up and said he didn't like the fact that his best friend was sleeping with his sister that is until Toph though he had yelled enough and she lightly tapped the ground with her small foot a move that sent Sokka fighting into the ground "Twinkletoes had the nightmare again and Sugarqueen went to comfort him he must not have been able too sleep alone so she stayed, happy."
