Battle sounds, off-screen
Close in on Harry, sitting on floor, holding Luna with her head in his lap.
HARRY
I'm here.
LUNA
I'm glad. I... can see you. I can see your face, and your hair, and your hands, but it's hard
to--Harry, H-Harry!
HARRY
I'm right here. I can see you too. We can see each other, right? So there's nothing to worry about. It's like you said, as long as we can see
each other when we look, then everything will be ok. Luna, Luna--look at me. That's
right. Look here, just like I'm looking
at you.
LUNA
My chest feels hot, and... thick.
She touches his face
LUNA
... I wish you were smiling. I like your smile.
HARRY
I know, I know-- see? I am smiling
right now. I'm going to keep smiling,
so you have to keep looking, ok? Don't
close your eyes.
LUNA
I love your smile, Harry.
HARRY
I love you. All your smiles and all
your parts and everything in between. Don't
close your eyes, oh please don't close them!
LUNA
It's okay, Harry. Everything's going to
be okay... everything okay.
HARRY
I love you.
LUNA
I know...
Luna's eyes move slightly to one side, and her breathing slows. Harry sobs and runs his hand through her
hair.
HARRY
I love you...
Luna's no longer looking at him, and no longer moves.
