This is not an actual story yet, but a request/promise to do something with this idea later. I'm just disappointed that I couldn't find a single stray musing about this on the Internet so far. Clearly, this must be changed!

So... John de Lancie is the voice of William Miles and he plays Q in star Trek. Q is an immortal energy being, who also happens to look like a human. Maybe the members of the First Civilisation were all Q-entities and they are just being dicks about their experiment going pear-shaped á'la inconvinient solar flare? Or they are lying about being older than the universe and turned themselves into energy beings after the First Disaster (with a few exceptions, like Minerva, Jupiter and Juno)? Anyways, I would just love to see ONE story about William being Q from Star trek:TNG!

+100 Q is telling the story of his life as William to Captain Picard out of boredom or whatever
+100000 if Picard's ancestors were Assassins or Templars and he knows about their secret war
+10000000 Desmond is brought up as an example of Q's shitty parenting skills

If no one's interested I might write this... or not. Who knows?
