Thank you, Walt Disney. For everything.

Walt Disney Tribute Poem

I can't remember a day,
Where you haven't been in some part of my life.
When the world seemed dull and grey,
You were there to help chase away the strife.

I feel as if I've known you forever,
And yet I know this isn't true.
But one day years from now I will have the pleasure,
Of finally meeting you.

You filled my days with joy,
The magic you created always adored.
Your happily-ever-afters could never annoy,
Starting with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

I am older now, and still very much in love,
With the legacy you built with bare hands.
Even you've long since passed, your name still rises above,
All other brands.

The Disney name will never be forgotten,
Nor the beloved characters that were so carefully crafted.
Over the years Marvel and Lucasfilm your company has acquired,
And I have faith their projects will be well-managed.

Your movies are considered classics,
You have fans all across the globe (especially me).
Your work is loved by all demographics,
You achieve success in leaps and bounds (and this is no hyperbole).

As a lifelong fan, I have something I've always wanted to say, this is true;
And it is this,
Thank you.
