One By One
One by one my friends all die,
One by one my loved ones lie
On their deathbeds, cold as night
Stone cold hand clasps stone cold hand.
Sunlight dims and flicker the torch-light;
I grieve my loss 'til I can't stand.
I bear my burdens and I go on.
I remember and I sing their song.
Days and months and years pass by:
