Remembrance
Chapter one
Elena is dreaming, before all of this ever happened.
before vampires, werewolves, witches.
when everything was normal.
suddenly that fades, and she is walking down a road in the dark,
she remembers being mad at Matt,
she remembers asking her mom to come pick her up.
suddenly Damon was in front of her,
"You want a love that consumes you,
You want passion and adventure,
and even a little danger." Damon tells her.
Her memory fades to black.
Elena feels herself needing air,
She gasps, and her eyes flicker open,
She's wet and she's puzzled as she stares around at the room she is in.
Stefan looks to her with teary eyes, "Elena."
Elena sits up and stares at Stefan, "How?".
That's the only word she can form, her mouth is dry.
She stares around and everything looks so different.
It looks so much more... real.
Stefan grabs her icy cold hands,
"Meredith, used vampire blood on you, the last time you came into the hospital.
You had a brain hemorrhage. When you drove off,
Since you made me save Matt, y-you drowned -" Elena cuts him off.
"I get it now." This wasn't suppose to happen. None of this was.
Vicki wasn't suppose to die, Jenna wasn't suppose to die,
No one was suppose to die! Elena swears and goes to stand.
"Easy, you -" As Stefan goes to grab Elena, Damon busts through the door.
"Elena!" Damon rushes in and walks straight ahead to Elena, grasping her cheeks
with both his hands lightly. He stares into her eyes, seeing the change.
"Dammit Stefan! Why did you let this happen! WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE HER!" Damon's voice
rising, higher and higher the angrier he gets.
