In 2001, I had a vivid dream about one of my favorite cartoons: the Ruby Spears version of Mega Man. This chapter is that dream. No, I hadn't yet found out about all the MegaMan video games at that time. In particular, it wasn't until 2005 that I learned of a cat-like "Stardroid" from Mega Man V, by the name of Pluto.
Thank you TNYPLD, if not for you, I would never have typed up the dream, let alone uploaded it here. For my viewers, I am now currently working on the expanded fic inspired from this dream as well, so keep checking back every so often.
Dream Sequence: Entranced
Proto Man waited just outside of the alleyway. As Mega Man reached the alley, Proto Man walked away from him and disappeared behind the corner. A beam of moonlight shone onto the narrow street several feet inside the alley. Beyond that beam was total darkness, a dead-end wall.
"Alright Proto Man, what's this all about this time?" Mega Man asked suspiciously. He wasn't going to fall for the "I want to join you" trick again.
Proto Man grinned, "This," and he indicated something just inside the shadows. A feminine Robot Master! Her eyes were closed, it seemed she hadn't been activated yet. This robot was built similar to Mega Man fact, except for a few, identifying differences, she was exactly like the two.
As Proto Man was red and Mega Man was blue, this robot was indigo. This robot had a thin, snakelike ponytail which nearly reached her feet. She also had a strange felinic shape to her audio sensors.
Suddenly her dark green eyes flashed open and she leaped, spinning in the air, to turn fired on the red robot as she landed next purple robot then told Mega Man to run and raced away from the battle, grabbing Mega Man as she ran out of the alley.
When they'd turned onto the sidewalk, he asked her to stop and explain herself. She simply let go as she looked back at him and then continued to run. "Indigo" was afraid! Curious as to why the robot ran, Mega Man followed her.
