Flight 978 to Isla Nublar, 10:53 A.M.

Harry Potter fidgeted uncomfortably in his seat on the large plane, a gnawing sense of worry eating away at him. Next to him, Hermione Granger smiled warmly at the boy and took his hand. "Don't worry, Harry. You'll see, everything will turn out fine." Her words calmed the boy, two years of experience assuring him that the brown haired girl on his left knew what she was talking about. Ron Weasley spoke up from the aisle seat "Yeah, mate. After everything we've already done, this one's gonna be easy."

Harry turned his head to look at his two oldest friends and gave a small smile. "Thanks, you two. Can't say I'm not bloody nervous, but you're with me. 'Course, that might just mean something's gonna try and kill me… again. Happens a lot, doesn't it?" His two companions snorted, remembering all the times Harry had nearly met his end, only to come out of it covered in blood and smelling like he hadn't bathed in a week. "It's just… I'm going to meet my real mother, and she's not human."

Just a week prior, Harry had taken an inheritance test at Gringotts, urged on by his friends. He had done so to claim the Potter vaults, but the Goblin blood test had revealed that he wasn't born a Potter, but adopted. The scroll upon which the results had been recorded had revealed that his mother was a creature known as a Velociraptor named Blue. It was from her that he had inherited his serpentine eyes, claws, and feathers for hair, as well as the emerald green markings beneath his eyes and down the length of his spine. After digging for information, he found that his mother was a part of the Raptor program at Jurassic World on Isla Nublar. Hermione's parents had immediately booked five tickets to the island, stating that, after thirteen years without a parent, Harry should meet his mother.

Harry personally thought it was easy for her to say, as her mother wasn't a prehistoric hunter with sharp claws and even sharper teeth.

"All passengers, please prepare for landing." Came the pilot's voice, alerting them that they had reached their destination. With a jolt, the plane landed on the runway and slowly came to a full stop. The five of them carefully made their way off the plane, following the stream of disembarking passengers. Ron stretched, his joints popping in a symphony of relief for the redheaded boy. "Bloody hell! Hermione, how can you stand sitting still for so long?"

"This isn't my first time on a plane, so I got used to it. Besides, Harry's alright. Aren't you, Harry?" Hermione turned to her raven haired friend, and was bemused by the sight of him sniffing the air. She had often noticed him doing so at times, but never understood what he was doing. 'I guess I know now. His senses are that of a Velociraptor, meaning he can smell and see things we can't.'

"Harry?" She called, louder this time. Her voice jolted Harry out of his trance, and he grinned sheepishly at her. She noticed that his teeth had become like a raptor's as well, and his hair seemed like feathers instead of human hair. "Sorry, 'Mione. I smelled something is all." Hermione cocked an eyebrow and asked "Would this something be named Blue?" Harry's eyes widened, and then closed as he sighed "Yes. It's like being back in a familiar nest after never knowing it before. Almost like when we first arrived at Hogwarts." Ron walked up and patted him on the shoulder. "Cheer up. You're her son. It's Hermione and I that would need to worry."

Harry looked at the lanky ginger and deadpanned "That doesn't fill me with confidence, Ron." Hermione face-palmed and groaned "Let's just find where she is, boys."

The three friends began to walk towards the information kiosk with their chaperones, and Harry overheard a redheaded woman talking with a brown haired man. "Owen, are you sure she'll be alright?" Harry was about to disregard the conversation until he heard the man, Owen, reply "Blue's my best girl, Claire, and she wouldn't hurt me. I'll go see why she's restless, okay?" This man was his mother's handler! Harry got his companions' attention, then began to follow Owen and Claire, making sure to not seem obvious. Suddenly, the man turned his head and caught sight of the five following them, and stopped. "Hey, who are you?"

Harry briefly thought up an excuse and answered "My name is Harry, and these two are Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley, as well as Emma and Daniel Granger. We wanted to ask about something, and I happened to hear you mention something of interest to me." Claire eyed him suspiciously and replied "What did you hear?" Harry's heart raced as he answered "I don't want to say it where prying ears might hear. Is there somewhere the seven of us could talk in private?"

Owen glanced at Claire, who nodded slowly, and responded "I'll take you to my bungalow. It's out of the way of the main park, and Lowery removed the cameras there for me." The man began to lead the way to a dirt path between the trees, and soon came up to what looked like a cabin. Owen unlocked the door, and ushered them inside. Immediately, Harry could smell his mother's scent is the cabin, and his eyes searched for her. However, his concentration broke when Owen cleared his throat and asked "Alright, what did you need to tell us?"

Harry turned to face the man, whose eyes widened when he noticed Harry's eyes, and Harry said "Recently, I took a blood test to see who my parents are, and something strange came up. When we received the results, it said I had DNA from a creature that should, by all accounts, be long extinct by about sixty-five million years. Namely, a certain Velociraptor whom I heard you mention by name." At this, both Claire and Owen froze, and Harry could see the cogs turning in their minds. Finally, Claire spoke up first. "Are you saying… You're a hybrid?"

"That is exactly what I said. For thirteen years, I've lived with the illusion that my parents were Lily and James Potter, only to find out that not only is my mother alive, but is also one of the smartest and most lethal dinosaurs ever. Afterwards, my best friends slash big sister Hermione decided that the best course of action would be to fly all the way here to Isla Nublar in the hopes that my mother would recognize me as hers." Harry explained, watching the reactions of the two adults. Owen spoke up first. "Well, I suppose introductions are in order. My name is Owen Grady, and this lovely woman is my boss and girlfriend, Claire Dearing. I'm the head of the Raptor program here at Jurassic World."

Emma then spoke "Mister Grady, would it be alright if we left Harry here with you? Unfortunately, the four of us need to return to England, and we aren't sure if being here could hurt Harry's chances with his mother." Owen laughed and replied "Just call me Owen. Sure, I can look after him. Besides, seems he'll be one raptor that won't get into everything." Harry pouted, making Hermione and Ron laugh and Owen shake his head. "Don't count on it, Mister Grady. Harry gets into trouble more often than not, even if it isn't his fault."

As his companions for the trip left, Harry turned to Claire and asked "Is something the matter?" Claire merely shook her head and replied "Not with you. Just… four years ago, our geneticists created a hybrid, the Indominus Rex. They used Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus DNA to create it, and it went mad, rampaging through the park and attacking anyone who came close. Thankfully, it fell into the Mosasaur lagoon and died. But now, finding out it wasn't the first hybrid… Henry Wu, though, swore never to mix dinosaurs that dangerous again. We've rebuilt since then, and had a scare with a local volcano that suddenly went active. Luckily, the eruption is more a gentle flow pointed out at sea, and not an explosion."

Harry nodded, mind working fast. "You know, I understand why you're concerned. This isn't the first time people have been unsure about me. The people I thought were my aunt and uncle called me a freak of nature, and treated me as such by denying me meals and locking me in the cupboard under the stairs. They made me make a nest there, but wasn't good for running. I guess, in a way, I am a freak of nature, but I refuse to be a monster because of it." Unbeknownst to Harry, his words made the blood of the two adults run cold. For Owen, he wanted to hug this kid and sic the raptors on Harry's 'relatives'. For Claire, she was eerily reminded of the Indominus before it broke free from containment. 'This kid… He's like a mirror of the Indominus…' She thought to herself.

Harry shrugged and continued "Anyway, I promise I won't be a bother while I'm here. I'm good at cooking and cleaning, and I don't eat a lot. I really just need a small nest, as well as fake-skins to wear, and I'll be fine." At this, Owen choked, and cut in "No. If you stay here, you'll be taking the guest room, and the only time you cook is if you want to, or I'm out helping in the park and you're here. Otherwise, it'll either be takeout from a local place, or I'll cook. Just because InGen treated one hybrid poorly doesn't mean we will." Claire nodded quickly, and added "Besides, you're Blue's son. That makes you part of Owen's pack, and it's well known that a raptor always defends its pack."

Harry cocked his head to the side, reminding both adults of his mother, and asked "Your pack? You're the Alpha, then?" Owen grinned and rubbed the back of his head. "Yep. Raised your mother and her sisters from the time they hatched. Earned me the title Raptor Dad from Lowery and the veterinary team. Which reminds me. We'll need to take you to see Dr. Gerry and get you checked out. You mentioned growing up abused, so we need to see if anything got messed up from that."

Suddenly, Harry grinned mischievously at Owen, who paled at the look. 'Shit. He looks like Blue whenever she brings out the old boot to prove a point.' "So, if you raised my mother, would that make you my grandfather in a way?" Harry asked, sounding as innocent as he could. Owen facepalmed as Claire snorted in poorly-suppressed laughter behind him. "Yep, you're Blue's kid alright."

'Finally, I've found a home.'
