Joe is an original character. His last name is based on a friend of mine's. This is my first fan fic in several years, so it might not be the best. Constructive criticism is encouraged in your reviews.
Prologue
Joe looked up at his new school
So, that's Duel Academy, huh the brown haired 16 year old thought to himself as he got off the boat.
Joe began to go up to the school and was about halfway there when another student in a red jacket accidentally ran into him.
"Sorry." The boy said. "Guess I should pay more attention to where I'm going"
"It's alright," Joe responded. "By the way, do you know the quickest way up to the Academy?"
"Um, yeah, just follow me." The boy responded. "By the way, my name is Jaden Yuki, what's yours?"
"Oh, it's Joe Baumgartner." He replied, following Jaden.
As they got closer to the Academy, Joe saw more and more students. He couldn't help but notice that some people were wearing red, some yellow, and some blue.
So, this must be that ranking system I heard about Joe thought.
"Jaden, there you are." A feminine voice called out.
Joe turned to look at who had called out and instantly felt himself blushing. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She had blonde hair that went down to about the middle of her back. She was wearing a white uniform with blue highlights and a blue skirt, with blue boots.
"What's your name?" Joe asked the girl.
"I'm Alexis Rhodes." She responded.
Alexis, Joe thought. She's beautiful.
