Francis thought Arthur had forgotten.
Arthur thought Francis had forgotten.
The other nations thought they both had forgotten.
The world meeting went on like normal, they gave their speeches, they argued with each other, they tried their best to not fall asleep during Ludwig's speech. But not a single word about what day it was.
'Stupid frog... How could he forget it...', thought the Briton.
'Oh, that cruel little Englishman! How could he forget...?' thought the French.
'What is going on...? Howcome they both forgot it...?' thought the others.
The meeting ended, and still, not a word was said.
Everyone was waiting for either one of them to say something, to do something. They waited for Francis to give dozens of red roses to Arthur, they waited for the Brit to mutter a quiet 'I love you'.
But no. Not anything.
Francis walked towards the door, the Englishman walking besides him, but both in a complete silence.
And then, Arthur broke the silence.
"109 years is quite a long time..."
There was a grin, and then Francis grabbed Arthur's hand, pulling him close.
"Happy anniversary, mon amour."
Well... That sucks... And it's so short you can't even call it a fanfic... But it's 8.4 I had to write something for my amazing OTP ;A;
Please, forgive me for writing crap like this.
