I wrote this after watching 'The Return of Amanda' for the umpteenth time followed by the 'Cross of St. Antoine' just as many times. My beta told me that these seemed unfinished. I disagreed. What do you think?
If highlander were mine, there would have been more episodes featuring Amanda and Tess would have died sooner. (kidding!!!!! well maybe not about the more episodes with Amanda) Sadly it's not mine. I'm mearly borrowing it for a fun night out on the town, which I make no monitary gain from.
Amanda has, on a few occasions, accused Duncan of never letting her change, though he repeatedly encourages her to live an honest, straight life... She's not exactly wrong. He would love for her to give up her stealing and counterfeiting and unending need to find a quick fix for every problem. But part of him never wants her to stop being the trouble making, mischievous, devious, woman she is. He wouldn't really know what to do with her then.
There are days he doesn't know if he wants to kill her or kiss her. They are by far and away the best days of his very long, very boring life. When Tess asked him why he always chased after her he told her the truth. She made him laugh when there weren't too many things to laugh about. Who else could convince him to dance on the Eiffel Tower?
Yes. As much as he can't stand how she usually leaves him holding the bag when the mob gets their torch and pitchforks, and no matter how much he complains about having to repeatedly save her arse, some part of him knows he really wouldn't find her all that appealing if she didn't get him into trouble now and again.
