Chapter 4
The Girls come
"Okay Scarlet let's get you ready for that ride," said Sarah.
"Hola Sarah, good to see you okay."
"Thanks Alma," replied Sarah.
"No way Jesse! When did you get here?" Chloe screamed.
"Did you come back to see me?" asked Zoey.
"Actually, I came back to see Sarah and to board Buddy here" was what the truth was to Jesse but he couldn't say that.
"I came back because Golden Corral Ranch was shut down by the State Riders Association," said Jesse glumly which made Sarah think why was Jesse saying it glumly now but not when he told her about it.
"I'm going to the arena," Sarah whispered to Alma and Molly. Before they could ask if she was alright she was walking Scarlet to the arena.
"Okay Scarlet let's start practicing." Sarah clicked and they were off at a canter. They jumped all of them perfectly and they had done the course really well but when she looked out at the fence she saw Jesse, Chloe, and Zoey. Sarah saw what was going on. Chloe and Zoey were kissing Jesse and Jesse was trying to get away from them. He looked at Sarah pleadingly. She had an idea. She slipped out of the saddle and said "aaawww!" Jesse ran over to her.
"Are you okay?" he asked actually looking concerned.
"I don't know," said Sarah.
"Oh please you fell off to get Jesse's attention," said Zoey.
"You are such a flirt," said Chloe.
"Call me later Jesse," said Chloe and Zoey over their shoulders.
"Are you okay?" asked Jesse still with the look of concern.
"Of course I am," said Sarah.
"But I thought you fell off," said Jesse confused.
"I faked it," said Sarah.
Jesse got closer to her.
"What are you doing?" asked Sarah but her question was answered when Jesse kissed her.
"I want to date you," said Jesse. "Don't worry I will."
