Jaggy Puffball raced through the dark forest, a feeling of adventure lingering in her heart. Today was going to be a great day! She just knew it! And unaware of the glowing red eyes in the trees that have been watching her every move... she believed it.
"Phew... it sure is nice out tonight!"
I looked around myself and sweatdropped.
"A little creepy though.. where am I? I don't remember these gnarly trees. Now that I think about it... I don't remember any of this!"
I heard a twig snap behind me and I jumped in surprise.
"Ah! Wh-what was that?"
A deep chuckle emanated from the shadows and I felt my heart sink. I wasn't alone.
"Wh-who's there? Show yourself!"
It didn't take long for the mysterious voice to comply with my demand. As those words left my mouth, two bright red lights lit up the darkness, and an eerie feeling of danger filled the night air. A thick mist lingered around my feet and it almost seemed as though breathing was now a difficult task. My vision began to cloud over as I backed up against a tree.
"Hmhmhm... very observant, aren't you? I'm usually so stealthy too."
My heart pounded in my chest as I heard him speak, and that's when I realized.. those weren't lights. They were eyes. I shook my head, trying to stay with it.
"Who are you?"
I cried out. The mysterious figure chuckled again.
"You'll see soon enough, my dear. But for now there will be no talking. Sleep..."
His eyes flashed brightly and I shook my head again.
"Ngh... n-no! I... w-wo..n't..."
I grit my teeth as my mind whirled. It was no use. What ever he was doing to me, it was draining my energy away, and fast. I had no choice but to give up for now... I collapsed onto the forest floor. Who ever or what ever he is... he's strong.
As my vision slowly turned to black I whimpered. What was going to happen to me? Would I ever see my home again? My thoughts never finished as I heard him step toward me. The last thing I saw were his blood red eyes, clouding my mind.
