Flapjack curls up against Bubbie's spongey, pink tongue dreaming of Sally Syrup. Her freckles play upon her face like chocolate chips in a cookie. "Nyaaaaaahhaaaa. Please be my friend?"

Bubbie is startled as Flapjack screams in terror, and he begins licking her tongue. "Blehby? Leggo uh mah thung. Then thell me wathamaher."

Flapjack frowns at the roof of Bubbie's mouth and crosses his arms in front of his chest. "Sally Syrup didn't wanna be my friend. All she wanted was to go sailin'."

Bubbie rubs her tongue against the roof of her mouth sending saliva pouring down on Flapjack, who is still pouting. "I'm sorry, honey. You know I'm still your friend, don't you?" Bubbie continues to shower her "son" in whale salivatory secretions.

"Of course I do, Bubbie. That's because you're the bestest whale on the sea. It'd be silly for you not to be friends with me. But, Sally Syrup doesn't wanna be my friend. Adventure seems so pointless when Sally Syrup doesn't like you."

Bubbie wonders how to cheer up her darling baby. She hates to see him so blue. Then it hits her! "Well, I'll tell you something, honey. I'm gonna find you a friend who will make adventure meaningful again. Someone better than Sally Syrup."

Flapjack clasps his hands together, and stares meaningfully at Bubbie's teeth. "You don't mean my dear Knuckies, do you? I think he's busy captaining things." Then he plops down near Bubbie's uvula.

"Why would I want you to spend more time with him? He's a dim bulb. You're my bright little angel baby. You need a new adventure buddy… someone with class." Bubbie paces back and forth in the harbor as Flapjack sits upon her head. "Baby, I think you're in need of a haircut," Bubbie says as she swims up to the dock outside The Candy Barrel.
