Summary: Percy decides it's time to act!
Disclaimer: I do not own any the the Percy Jackson characters. They all belong to Rick Riordan. The title, based on lyrics from Bruno Mars, is also not mine.
A/N: This idea came from reading a Percy Jackson headcanon on Tumblr, I just tweaked it to fit my OTP, Thalabeth. So the props for this one shot go to whoever came up with the headcanon. Check it out at percyjacksonheadcanons on Tumblr!
Also this story is in an Alternate Universe because in Riordan's universe Thalia is still very much afraid of heights. Femslash, so if you don't like it, please click the back button!
I Think I Wanna Marry You
Percy knew he had to give up trying to woo Annabeth over when one day the two of them were walking down a sidewalk in New York. He knew that she was destined to be with another but that didn't stop him from getting down on one knee in the middle of the sidewalk and asking her to marry him. Before Annabeth could even respond two booming voices could be heard from the heavens; one that rumbled with thunder and lightning, the other one stern and wise. Percy could almost imagine the powerful glares coming from both Zeus and Athena as the voices echoed, "Not on your life!"
The boy stood up hastily, his arms held over his head protectively. Annabeth smiled, holding a hand over her mouth to stifle the laughter that almost erupted as her grey eyes twinkled in amusement. Before Percy could utter an apology, Thalia Grace landed out of the sky, her fear of heights long gone after the Titan War. The daughter of Zeus presented the daughter of Athena with a beautiful bouquet of red roses and her arm, both of which the blonde took happily, leaning up to place a kiss on the taller girl's cheek. The two started walking, leaving a sullen son of Poseidon to follow them down the street and back to the apartment that Annabeth and Thalia shared.
